Welcome to the Pardue Library's online local history collection. This page is currently under construction, so check periodically for updates and additions.
You can navigate this site using the links to the right or the tabs at the top of the page.
The local history and genealogy collections housed in Pardue Library are closed to the public, but documents are available upon request at the circulation desk. General genealogical or local history research assistance is not available. However, patrons unable to visit in person may make online or telephone requests for copies of specific documents. A flat fee of $2.00 will be charged for the first ten pages requested. Additional pages will be charged 25 cents per page. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Generic requests for "all" items on a specific subject will not be honored.
Please call ahead before planning a research visit, especially if you will be traveling a distance or planning to conduct extensive research. You may call (336) 838-6114 to schedule an appointment. Library staff can prepare materials in advance, as many materials may be in storage and difficult to retrieve.
